Server conduct guide
Official NThaCityRP Rules
These rules keep Los Santos RP sharp, fair, and immersive for every member. All players are expected to know and follow every section before participating.
By joining NThaCityRP you agree to all rules below. Ignorance of a rule is not an excuse. Rules are enforced by staff at all times. Repeat violations result in permanent removal from the community.
General RP Rules
8 rules- G-01Stay in character during all roleplay interactions unless there is a genuine out-of-character emergency.
- G-02No Fail RP. All actions must be realistic and believable in the context of Los Santos street life.
- G-03No RDM (Random Deathmatch). You may not attack or kill another player without a valid, escalating RP reason.
- G-04No VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch). Using a vehicle as a weapon to kill or injure players requires prior RP justification and consent.
- G-05No metagaming. Keep Discord knowledge, out-of-character information, and OOC voice separate from your character's in-game knowledge.
- G-06No powergaming. Avoid forcing outcomes on other players or taking actions that remove their ability to respond and react.
- G-07No cop baiting. Deliberately provoking law enforcement purely to start a chase or conflict with no RP substance is prohibited.
- G-08Respect new players. Do not exploit inexperience. Mentor where possible and keep a healthy server environment.
Character Rules
5 rules- C-01Characters must have a believable background and consistent motivation that fits the Los Santos setting.
- C-02Do not impersonate existing staff members, real people, or other registered players as your character name.
- C-03Character names must be appropriate for the server culture. Joke names, slurs, or names designed to troll will be rejected.
- C-04Respect NPC interactions and server-managed storyline scenes. Do not sabotage host-run events.
- C-05Character switching mid-scene to gain an advantage (e.g. switching to a cop character after committing a crime) is prohibited.
Police Interaction Rules
8 rules- P-01Comply with the first lawful police command unless it directly violates written server rules or your character's safety RP.
- P-02Police cannot be killed unless the scene is explicitly approved in advance by the host or server owner.
- P-03Arrests must be documented in the CAD system with suspect name, charges, evidence, and arresting officer logged.
- P-04Evidence must be preserved and logged in #police-evidence-lock-up immediately after any arrest or major scene.
- P-05Officers must stay in character at all times during enforcement and use proper RP procedure for stops, searches, and detentions.
- P-06No abuse of police powers. Arbitrary enforcement, corruption RP without approval, or harassment using a police character is prohibited.
- P-07Complaints against officers must be submitted through the formal complaint system, not raised in public channels.
- P-08Jail time and fines issued in RP must be proportional to the charges and documented in the arrest report.
Vehicle Rules
5 rules- V-01Follow traffic RP and stop when signalled by law enforcement unless you are in an active, justified RP chase scenario.
- V-02Plate checks, registrations, and insurance must be accurately roleplayed through the DMV system.
- V-03Unregistered or stolen vehicles must be handled through the DMV channel or police evidence procedure, not ignored.
- V-04Do not use vehicles to escape scenes without a valid, escalating RP reason — hit and run with no prior conflict is VDM.
- V-05Modded or supercars require host approval and must be registered in the DMV system before use in any enforcement scene.
Combat Rules
5 rules- B-01Engage in combat only with appropriate RP justification. Conflict must be escalated, not sudden and unprovoked.
- B-02Use safe zones and host-approved scenes for high-risk conflict. Certain areas are off-limits for combat without event approval.
- B-03No spawn camping or attacking players who are not actively engaged in a scene or conflict.
- B-04Respect wounds and arrest outcomes after combat. You cannot immediately re-engage after being downed or arrested.
- B-05No revenge killing. Being eliminated in a scene ends your involvement — you cannot return to the same scene for retribution.
Business Rules
5 rules- BZ-01All businesses must be registered and approved through the business system before operating in any RP scene.
- BZ-02Business owners are responsible for their employees' conduct during work-related RP. Staff violations reflect on the owner.
- BZ-03No fake businesses used as fronts for unapproved criminal activity unless cleared as part of a host-approved storyline.
- BZ-04Pricing and services offered in RP must be realistic. Price gouging or exploitative pricing during emergencies is prohibited.
- BZ-05Business disputes must be settled through RP (negotiation, legal channels, or city hall) — not by RDM or harassment.
Gang / Faction Rules
5 rules- F-01Factions must be registered with a name, leader, and territory before taking any hostile action against another group or law enforcement.
- F-02Gang wars require prior RP escalation — at least one warning or confrontational scene must occur before open hostilities begin.
- F-03Turf disputes must follow the city's RP territory system. Claiming turf by mass killing is prohibited without host approval.
- F-04No targeting uninvolved civilians during gang conflicts. Crossfire that kills neutral players repeatedly is treated as RDM.
- F-05Criminal RP must be balanced with risk. High-value criminal operations (heists, trafficking) require staff notification in advance.
EMS Rules
4 rules- E-01EMS must remain neutral and respond to all downed players regardless of faction, unless the scene is actively unsafe for responders.
- E-02Attacking or killing EMS while they are responding to a scene is prohibited unless explicitly part of an approved hostage scenario.
- E-03EMS cannot share scene information with law enforcement or factions while treating patients — medical confidentiality is enforced in RP.
- E-04All serious injuries and deaths treated by EMS must be logged in the appropriate Discord channel for record-keeping.
Discord Rules
5 rules- D-01Be respectful to staff and other community members in all public and private channels at all times.
- D-02Do not harass, threaten, or insult other players outside of RP. OOC conflict is handled through tickets, not public channels.
- D-03Keep NSFW content, spoilers, and drama out of all public channels. Use designated channels or DMs.
- D-04Follow moderator direction promptly. Arguing with staff in public channels after a decision is made is grounds for a mute or ban.
- D-05No advertising other Discord servers, RP communities, or social media in any channel without explicit staff approval.
Staff & Enforcement
4 rules- S-01Staff decisions are final in the moment of enforcement. Formal appeals must be submitted via the ticket system, not argued in chat.
- S-02Rule violations are logged and tracked. Repeat offences result in escalating consequences up to permanent removal.
- S-03Complaints against staff must be submitted through the formal complaint form with evidence attached. Baseless complaints may result in action against the complainant.
- S-04Staff are empowered to pause or end any RP scene at any time to protect server integrity, player safety, or resolve a rule dispute.
